What We offer...In this current climate and time of crisis, there is an urgent need to empower children with confidence and hope for their futures. Lockdown has left many with questions about their faith and anxiety about the future. In response to this, the Kenelm Youth Trust is offering 'Primary Quo Vadis', a Catholic mental health and well-being resource for Year 4-6. This programme will support children with mental health and well-being, to empower them to make choices and enable them to reflect and 'gather' as a Catholic community through shared experience, even during a time of social distancing. With high quality videos, moments of collective worship and an amazing pupil journal to accompany every session, Primary Quo Vadis will help your students to understand their feeling and emotions in a new and positive way.
Working with experts in the field and in partnership with Rise Theatre, these 5-classroom based sessions explore the themes of worry, anger, happiness and sadness, as well as exploring how we are created and why we have feelings and emotions. |

The ProgrammeThe aim of Primary Quo Vadis is to engage children in Year's 4-6 with the question of where they are going and accompany them on the journey. On the road to Emmaus Jesus walked alongside the disciples who were anxious and directionless after life had taken an unexpected turn. In a similar way, lockdown has left many of us on a road of anxiety and worry about the future. Primary Quo Vadis will support everyone in asking, and answering the big questions they have, enabling them to see the real treasures that our Catholic faith offers for the whole person. Across 5 sessions and through an accompanying journal this new programme will support mental health and well-being, encouraging everyone to see the goodness in their daily lives and the hope that trust in God will bring for their futures.

The children have two new friends to accompany them throughout the programme. Lottie and Joe will be asking questions, sharing ideas and inviting the children to think deeply about their feeling and emotions. This simple medium ensures that the children can engage on a level that they feel comfortable with whilst being challenged that, "To be a saint is not the privilege of the few but a vocation of everyone," Pope Francis.
